Home & School Committee
The Kaikoura Suburban School Home & School Committee plays a vital role in fostering a positive partnership between families and the school. We collaborate to support the school’s goals by organizing fun events, fundraising for special projects, and contributing to the overall well-being of our students.

What Is Our Role?
Our role is to assist the school and teachers with initiatives beyond the curriculum. We organize fundraising projects to support playground upgrades, new sports equipment, sports uniforms, and other improvements that enhance our children’s school experience. Additionally, we coordinate events like the school gala, bake sales, raffles, food stalls at the Whale Run, the Pet Show, and the Book Fair, to name a few. Through our involvement, we gain a deeper understanding of school life and help create a vibrant, connected community.

Who Can Be On The Committee?
Any parent, caregiver, or guardian is welcome to join the Home & School Committee at any stage during their child’s time at school. Joining the committee doesn’t mean you’ll be responsible for every fundraising event—we work together to share ideas, plan, and contribute in ways that suit our individual strengths. New members are always encouraged to attend our meetings and get involved! Meeting dates and times are shared in the school newsletter each term.
