Mistletoe Bay camp

It is hard to believe a whole week has flown passed since our camp!

Mistletoe Bay was a fantastic spot.  We were fortunate enough to spend it amongst good company, good weather, a number of different animals, good food and good accommodation.

I extend a huge thanks to Donna, Linda, Chris, Dean and Andrew for the support and help you gave to the children and myself.  A truly terrific team.

We participated with a bush study and we now know the difference between manuka and kanuka. K = kind kanuka, M = mean manuka.  We actively took part with photo orienteering and we looked at the tidal zones with a whole different meaning.  Did you know that a limpets life consists of moving back and forwards on the same rock as the tide moves for its whole entire life.  If you pull the limpet off its rock and put it on a different rock it become disorientated and will die!  These limpets can live up to 80 years!

Another fabulous experience with a fabulous bunch of people. Thank you.
